Microneedling Treatments
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is an advanced treatment that encourages your skin’s natural renewal process. It works by creating micro-injuries, prompting your body to produce collagen and elastin, which improve skin texture and elasticity. This technique addresses wrinkles, pigmentation, large pores, acne, redness, and scars. By promoting skin regeneration, microneedling delivers impressive results, giving you a smoother, more youthful appearance.
At Smooth Muse, advanced treatments like microneedling are offered to help clients achieve their skincare goals, promoting a healthier, more radiant appearance.
Anti-aging
Targeting fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin, microneedling promotes collagen production, leading to firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
Pigmentation Correction
Uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation can be effectively addressed through microneedling, resulting in a more balanced complexion.
Pore Refining and Congestion Reduction
Microneedling helps minimise the size of pores and clears out congestion for a clearer, healthier look.
Redness Reduction
Microneedling helps minimise redness and inflammation, improving overall skin tone.
Acne Scar Revision
Microneedling is a great all-around scar treatment, and especially effective for acne scars. By boosting collagen production, it helps heal scars and improves overall skin health.
Skin Renewal
Microneedling renews your skin by boosting turnover, improving texture, tone, and radiance for a refreshed complexion.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, redness and inflammation are common after microneedling and typically last for about one day.
The frequency of microneedling sessions depends on your skin concerns.
- For maintaining healthy skin, addressing pigmentation issues, and reducing congestion, treatments can be done every 3 weeks or as recommended by your skincare professional.
- For concerns like scarring, enlarged pores, aging signs, and redness, sessions can be spaced out every 5 weeks.
At Smooth Muse, it’s usually recommended to undergo a course of 5 treatments, followed by maintenance sessions 1-2 times a year. Real improvements come with commitment. 🙂
Although your comfort is prioritised during procedures, a topical anaesthetic is used depending on the specific treatment. Deeper treatments may require the use of numbing. Pain levels may still vary depending on individual pain tolerance and the nature of the treatment.
While microneedling is considered safe, potential side effects may include temporary redness, swelling, and sensitivity. These typically subside within a few days, and proper aftercare can help minimise discomfort.
